Re-enrolment and resumption

If you want to apply for admission to a study programme at which you previously have been enrolled, the rules of re-enrolment and resumption apply. The rules also apply if your former enrolment was at another educational institution than VIA University College.

You should always contact a study counsellor before applying for re-enrolment or resumption. The student counsellor can help you with which rules apply in your specific case.

As a general rule, resumption or re-enrolment can take place no earlier than five months after the previous enrolment ended.

Resumption

If you have not yet passed the first year of study during your previous enrolment, you can apply for resumption. You apply via www.optagelse.dk.

Please note that the deadline for applying for resumption is 15th of March. If your application for resumption is approved, your application for admission will then be processed on equal terms as all other applications that year.

Re-enrolment

If you have passed educational elements equivalent to the current first year of study during your previous enrolment, you can apply for re-enrolment. You send your application to the study programme.

Please note, that the study programme sets the deadline for submitting applications for re-enrolment. Enrolment requires that you meet the entry requirements and that there is an available study place.

Improved possibilities of completing the programme

If your enrolment was brought to an end by the institution due to the rules in the ministerial order on admission, you must submit documentation that your possibilities of completing the programme have significantly improved. This applies if your studies were terminated e.g. because you used up all your exam attempts, you did not pass the commencement of studies test or you did not pass any exams for a period of one year.
